Happy Birthday Sadie Lady

2 years ago today, we were blessed with our little girl. Time has definitely flown by faster with the second child than the first. I am trying to savor every moment.

Seems like yesterday.
I am always anxious to know what these little people will turn out to be. What will their personality be or what will they look like?

Happy 2nd birthday to our funny, independent, vivacious, sweet girl.

We love you to the moon and back.

Mimi and Papa visit

Fernando's dad had some work to do in Pittsburgh, so he brought Mimi along and they made it a visit. We really enjoyed having them here.

Papa has a way with Sadie...she loves him. She is holding her new baba, because she threw the other one out the car window while driving. She finally likes this one.

We took the kiddos to a little farmer's market. They enjoyed playing and petting the animals. (well - sadie enjoyed the animals, gray didn't want to get germs)

Grayson's class had a field trip to see blue heron's nests. Mimi stayed with Sadie so I could go with Grayson. It was interesting to see the kids interact as a "class". Gray is really interested in what this lady has to say (he is green coat).
They did an activity where they had to "fly" and get these little pipe cleaner worms. Gray did and then came back and started making moustaches. I think he might be a bit of a jokester. It was hard for me - being former teacher and all; because I am just wanting him and all kids to just be still and listen. I then remembered they are 4!
Mimi and I said we were going to take more pictures this time. I guess we were busy corralling the two kiddos. We started our countdown for the beach when we will see them again! 3 months to go.

Happy Bday Fernando!

Happy Birthday to My Fernando!
You are a great father to our two kiddos!

A little gift you bought yourself!
Fernando bought himself a little something - so I say happy birthday! We used the Egg all weekend and yummy! Now he is on cooking duty.

Here is our family 2 years ago on Fernando's birthday. So we have another birthday post coming up this weekend!

Spring has sprung...early

When we got back to Pitt, spring had literally sprung. We had daffodils sprouting, trees flowering and warm weather. I could get used to this. Everyone says it is all about a month ahead of its usual time!

My neighbor busted out the water table

Sadie and Beatrice

I signed Gray up for tennis lessons. Thought he could use some hand eye coordination training. I enjoyed tennis as a youngster as well as my bro. After weekend practices with Fernando, he is doing good and most of all having fun! Here he is in the "tennis bubble". They come down around mid-April.

My little princess enjoying new rain boots and a spring day.

When we got back from Texas, Sadie was off schedule. I think it was due to spring forward time change, time change from vaca, and just vaca. She would play in her crib forever at bedtime and strip her clothes. Then she started stripping just around the house. Here is Fernando giving a small lecture about keeping clothes on....We are in for it!!

A quick trip to Texas

I was getting a little homesick - so the ole hub came through and booked us flights about 3 weeks out. I was so homesick - I agreed to fly solo with the two children....I must have been in a haze when agreeing.
I have no pictures of my journey through the port; but it went fairly well. I got the kids seated on our 7am flight and it was not a full one so that was good. Got an mean eyeball from a business man - and that made me not care so much. I proceeded to give Sadie a sucker while taxiing and thought- this is going to be a long flight!! The flight was 2 hrs 45 mins. Gray did great - watched star wars and fell asleep in my lap. Sadie had about 10 snacks, 3 suckers, a ring pop, tinkerbell movie and a hand wash in the bathroom. WE made it and mom and My little cousin Tara was there to meet me.
Our first stop...MEXICAN food!!

Here are some pics from our trip:

Will and Grayson

Collin, Gray, Kate and Sadie
Sadie and Uncle Ryan - Sadie loves her uncle
It was definitely a whirlwind trip. I was hoping to see more faces, but our time was too short. We will be back this summer - so I am hoping to catch up with everyone!
