Many firsts

The Granda kiddos had many "firsts" this month.

Grayson started t-ball. We have no practices and 2 games a week! They learn as they go. As long as he is having fun - that is what matters. He started hitting off the tee, but after a couple of games the coaches started pitching to the players. I was wondering how that would go. And to my surprise, my little man hit the ball that was pitched to him! Certainly a first. I am one proud momma. I will upload a video later.

Here he is in his sunglasses - some coaches were calling him Hollywood.

Our "township" had a community day. Many of the high school clubs have booths and there is lots to do.
Sadie's first pony ride.

Grayson' first cotton candy

Sadie's first  CC too. She was nibbling it.

This boy wasn't letting any go to waste. He devoured it. He is addicted to sweets.

Sadie's first long shoulder ride! I imagine this will happen when we hit up disney world (in a couple years.)

And a first that the Granda men and Slaughter men are happy about. Gray has been asking to play golf. Fernando loaded him up and took him to the range to give it a go~!

Keeping his eye on the ball. Dad was proud of his stance!

Lining it up

His first bag and set of clubs!

A shirtless night (I did put her to bed with a shirt)

Sadie's first haircut. Just a trim! She sat still the whole time and didn't move.

We recently seeded the yard and our grass is growing! The kids first run through the sprinkler in our new grassed backyard.

Sadie's first flops

Our first swim of the summer. In Texas, we would have been swimming for a couple months by now!

Cinco de Mayo

When we first moved here I decided early on I wanted to throw cinco de mayo party. I just wanted to celebrate like we do in Texas and enjoy mexi food, margs and good times. I can't believe I followed through. Fernando was supposed to be out of town the week before, so I wanted my mom to come up and keep me company and help with the party. Thank GOD she was here. I couldn't have done it without her. It is quite hard to plan and do with two children.

I made two wreaths for the front door. I used napkins and it didn't take long. They were cute on the front door!

Fernando snapped some pics before the party.

Fernando ended up not going out of town - thank goodness. I surprised him with some sod on Friday and he planted in that little patch. It was overgrown and dirt before.

I rented marg machine. Margs and strawberry daiquiris - so yummy.

I used pinterest for inspiration.

Many people were running the pittsburgh marathon the next day - so they left early. Those that weren't...stayed and we had a great time!

Until Next year!!!

Grayson's first t-ball game

Grayson had his first t-ball game on Saturday. The team didn't have a practice before - so we knew it would be interesting. I packed Sadie some snacks and she ate the entire time. Hey- whatever you have to do - right?

She kept yelling - "go gray-gray, get the ball"

My little man - #2

His helmet was gigantic - I think it weighed him down running.

His first hit - he was directed to first base and continued running pass the base!

He kept yelling from the field and asking fernando and I questions: "Daddy, how do I know when I score a point?" " Mommy, who is that orange team?"

He did a great job. The kids definitely learned as the played. Gigi was in town, so she got to see him play.
